X-Men vs. Skratch Piklz (whole routine)
I don’t normally write about deaths that aren’t related to me in some way, but over the weekend, Roc Raida from the X-Men died. To say the least, it sucks, but it’s weird because many DJs who’ve died and have been of notoriety have been from an entirely different generation — Jam Master Jay, DJ Train, DJ Screw. Roc Raida is a dude that my friends and I got to meet and see perform on numerous occasions, not to mention he was fresh as hell, especially live. Even though of all the X-Men we all tended to gravitate towards Rob Swift, we all liked Raida because, other than being really dope, he didn’t seem like he was full of shit, which is a difficult attitude to have in the Hip-Hop DJ world.
